Determining Belt and Wristband Size

Belt Sizing

Getting your belt size correct makes the difference between a belt that fits and looks great and one that is just meh – or worse, doesn’t fit.

Do not go by pant size. Pants are not an accurate measure for a belt size. Pants made by different manufacturers may vary considerably in size.

If you have a belt that you wear regularly, this is the easiest way. Use a tape measure and measure your belt from the bar of the buckle (A) and to the hole that you use (B). It will typically have the most wear. That is your belt size.

If you don’t have a belt or it is indeterminate as to which hole is the correct one, take a tape measure or even a piece of string and run it through the belt loops of the type pants you will typically wear. Measure the length of the tape measure or string. That is your belt size.

You should measure for the belt size while wearing the type of pants that will typically be paired with the belt. This is particularly important for women. A belt for pants that ride low on the hips will usually be very different from pants that ride up on the waist.

If you are ordering a ready made belt from the store, find one where your size falls within the size range shown on each belt.

It is important to know that you need to get an accurate size for your belt. We cannot accept responsibility for inaccurate sizing information. It is up to you to provide us with accurate information if ordering a custom belt or to know your size if buying a ready made one. No refunds will be provided if you do not properly measure for your belt. If you have questions about belt sizing, contact me and I’ll help you with choosing the correct size.

Wristband Sizing

Wristband sizes are from the snaps at either end of the band.

Just as for sizing a belt, it’s important to know your wrist size when ordering a wristband. This is quite simple. Wrap a tape measure snugly (not super tight) around your wrist and note the size in inches. Add 1/4 inch and order the closest up size.

For instance, if your wrist measures 7″, add 1/4 inch which gives a size of 7 1/4″. Size up to 7 1/2″ and there is your wristband size.

Wristbands are offered in 7″, 7 1/2″, 8″, and 8 1/2″ sizes and others can be added if there is demand. Coming soon: 6 1/2″ wristbands!

As with belts, returns and refunds will not be offered for incorrect sizing.
